Transportation

Safe, door-to-door rides to appointments, errands, and the places that matter — with a familiar caregiver alongside you, not just behind the wheel.

What is transportation care?

Getting There Safely, With Someone Who Cares

Our transportation service provides door-to-door rides accompanied by a caregiver, not just a driver dropping someone off. That means help out the front door, in and out of the vehicle, into the waiting room, and back home again — with someone who can answer a question the driver from a rideshare app never could.

Losing the ability to drive is one of the biggest blows to independence, and it doesn't have to mean losing access to appointments, the grocery store, or a friend's birthday. We handle the getting there so the day can carry on as normal.

  • Door-to-door, not curb-to-curb
  • Caregiver stays with you
  • Mobility aids accommodated
  • Booked around your schedule

Rides for Everything That Matters

If it's a regular part of life, we can likely help you get there and back.

Medical Appointments

Doctor visits, specialist consultations, physiotherapy, dialysis, and lab work — with help waiting, checking in, and getting home after.

Grocery & Errands

Trips to the grocery store, pharmacy, bank, or post office, with help carrying bags and getting everything inside afterward.

Social Visits & Outings

Coffee with friends, family gatherings, a hair appointment, or a walk in the park — the outings that keep the week interesting.

Places of Worship

Regular rides to church, synagogue, mosque, temple, or any community gathering that's part of a weekly routine.

Personal Appointments

Hairdressers, banking, legal or financial meetings, and other appointments that are easier with a familiar face along.

Discharge & Follow-Up Rides

Pick-up after a hospital or day-surgery discharge, plus follow-up visits in the days after — handled calmly, without rushing.

Safety first

Every Ride, Done Properly

Transportation is one of the highest-stakes services we offer, and we treat it that way.

Licensed & Insured Drivers

Every caregiver who drives holds a valid licence and clean record, and every trip is covered by our commercial insurance.

Well-Maintained Vehicles

Clean, regularly serviced vehicles with working seatbelts and space for a walker, wheelchair, or other mobility aid.

Hands-On Assistance

Help across the driveway, up the curb, and in and out of the seat — not just a door held open from a distance.

Punctual, Unhurried Pace

Rides are timed to arrive with room to spare, and no one is rushed getting to or from the vehicle.

Signs a Transportation Service Might Help

  • Driving has stopped, or a licence has recently lapsed
  • Appointments are being missed or rescheduled for lack of a ride
  • Getting in and out of a car has become physically difficult
  • A rideshare or taxi feels unfamiliar or unsafe to rely on alone
  • Family are taking time off work for every appointment
  • A mobility aid needs more room and help than a standard taxi allows

Transportation pairs well with other services. A single visit can combine a ride to an appointment with a grocery stop and some company on the way home.

Questions

Transportation FAQs

A rideshare driver drops you at the curb. Our caregivers walk you to the door, help you in and out of the vehicle, wait during the appointment if needed, and bring you safely home — the same familiar person each time, not a different stranger every trip.

Yes. Let us know the mobility aid in use when booking so we can arrange a suitable vehicle and enough time for a safe, unhurried transfer. Tell us about any equipment during the initial consultation and we'll factor it into every ride from the start.

In most cases, yes — waiting time is simply built into the visit. For longer appointments we'll agree a pickup window in advance so there's no uncertainty about when the ride home happens.

We recommend at least 48 hours' notice for regular appointments so we can match the right vehicle and caregiver. We'll always do what we can for something more urgent — just call and we'll see what's possible.

We cover Niagara Falls and the surrounding communities, including trips to hospitals or specialists a little further afield when needed. Tell us the destination when booking and we'll confirm it's within reach.
